Good Wife Moment! Made pancakes for the hubby at 12:30AM!
I am a retailers dream customer. 10 out of 10 times I’ll pay more money for something that takes less of my time and/or energy! Take rice, for example, I buy the 90 second packs that cost close to $2.00 over a box that will make 6 dinners for $2.00. Then I went and fell in love with Mr. Convenience! On a road trip my only options for food/gas are the stores on the same side of the Highway, we have (he has) no time to waste on crossing under/over any highway. None.
Needless to say, I really can’t wrap my head around this couponing craze. First of all, I have to talk myself into going to the store each week. I run in and out with my list and try my hardest to get out of there in record time. So I don’t understand having to spend hours upon hours collecting and organizing coupons…and then have to spend a whole day at the grocery store(s) to figure out the right way to use them. Oh, and don’t forget the hours it takes you to put away the stash of groceries you’ve acquired (so much stuff you are qualified to be on the next series of Hoarders). Who has the time? Who needs that much stuff?
I get it, I do, groceries aren’t cheap!! But neither is my time…or the blood pressure medicine I would need to handle the Grocery store for more than an hour!

Couldn’t have said it better myself, it’s why I run outside in the heat, rain and freezing cold. The road offers so many more challenges and rewards. I’ve never been able to lose myself in thought on the treadmill and I’ve certainly never excperience a runners high while on one.
Plus, I do enjoy the strange looks of others who don’t understand how I could possibly be running outside when there is snow on the ground. I use to give that look, so there is some pride in being on the other side of it.
Another cold 6 miles outside this morning!
